Sasken operates in three segments: software services, software products and network engineering services.

Shameless slaves to the industrialists

One can at least understand the stubbornness of Ratan Tata when it comes to insisting on fertile land from Singur for his pet car project. After all, he is a Capitalist. Unfortunately, the Chief Minister of West Bengal Buddhadeb Bhattacharya cannot trot out any such excuse for not only handing over prime real estate to industrialists for a pittance, but also ensuring that his allegedly Marxist government is forcing peasants out of their homes and farms. Nor can he provide any excuse for the brutal manner in which the state police has been treating the local residents protesting the forcible ‘expropriation’ of their livelihoods.
